E-E-A-T explained
The first E, experience, is the one Indian D2C sites most often fail. Pages written by nobody, about a product the writer never used, with no photographs of their own, read exactly like the thousands of pages an AI can now generate for free. That is the content that stops being retrieved.
The visible fixes are unglamorous: named authors with real credentials and profile pages, dates on every page, your own photographs and data, a clearly stated methodology for any claim, and honest disclosure of what the business sells.
For AI answers this matters because attribution is a decision. A system that names a source is exposing itself to that source's reliability. It leans towards pages that look accountable.

Three things you can test this week
None of these need a tool or a vendor. They take an afternoon and they tell you whether e-e-a-t is actually your problem.
Our own measurement method, with its definitions and stated limits, is published on the method page.

The definition is the easy part
Knowing what a term means takes five minutes. Knowing whether it is your problem takes an afternoon, and knowing what to do about it takes a method.
Every glossary page here ends with three checks you can run yourself and the primary sources behind them, because a definition you cannot act on is trivia.

E-E-A-T: common questions
Is E-E-A-T a ranking factor?
Not a single measurable factor. It is a description of what the systems are trying to approximate with many signals.
What is the fastest E-E-A-T improvement?
Real author bylines with Person schema and a genuine profile page, applied to every substantive page.
Does it apply outside health and finance?
Yes. The bar is highest there, but product recommendation answers use the same instincts.
